The Benefits of Diodes

The Benefits of Diodes
The Benefits of Diodes
Diode is the active component of the two poles are generally semiconductors, which allow electric current to flow in one direction (forward bias condition) and inhibit the flow in the reverse direction (backward bias condition). Diode can be equated as a function of valves in the field of electronics.

Diode characteristics of irreversibility is actually not a perfect show, but rather have the current and voltage characteristics of the complex relationships that are not linear and often depend on technology or material used as well as the use of parameters. Several types of diode also has a function that is not intended for the use of rectification.

The beginning of the diode is the Cat's Whisker crystal devices and vacuum tubes (also called thermionic valves). Currently the most common diodes are made from semiconductor materials such as silicon or germanium.

The benefits Diodes Series

Diode has a unique function that can only be a current in one direction only. Diode structure is none other than semiconductor junctions P and N. One side is a P-type semiconductor and the other side is of type N. Thus the structure of the flow will only be able to flow from the P side to the N side
