What is salmonellosis?
Salmonellosis is a disease caused by Salmonella bacteria infection in the stomach and intestines. The disease is similar to gastritis. Most patients with mild infections will recover within 4-7 days without treatment. Transmission can occur when people eat foods that are contaminated with bacteria (like eating in the same restaurant).
